Mountain Horse Riding Stables Svoge is located in the beautiful town of Svoge, 40 km from the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia. We are in the heart of Stara Planina (Old Mountain), in a very pure and rich in natural treasures region of Bulgaria. The horse riding stables offers you to visit the unique surroundings for a horse riding lesson (beginners and advanced), a horse trip in the mountains, hiking, good food and wine, brithday selebration and many more services with attention to each guest. The project for the Mountain Horse Riding Stables Svoge begin from a sincere love for the noble animal - the horse, for freedom and for health. Subsequently, this love had to be shared and the horse riding stables opened it doors to guests. Since then, we have been a cherished destination for anyone who shares this love. The "Mountain Horse Riding Stables Svoge" includes new horse stables, a rectangular arena and a round pen for training horses and riders, a training track with a variety of obstacles for exercising and preparing for riding in nature, numerous paths for trail rides, places to relax and enjoy good food and drinks and much more.

We currently have 7 horsesin the base all trained and friendly, with the possibility of organizing trail rides with larger groups of up to 15 horses, thanks to partnerships with other horse bases in the region and local horsemen. We train our horses using the "Polkan System", which combines the best practices, skills and knowledge in the field of training horses and riders, proven over time. We achieve healthy partnerships with our animals, within which both rider and horse are satisfied and happy.

What do you offer for beginner riders?

If you are newer to the world of horse riding, we can offer you a riding lesson with a professional instructor in the arena, theory and practice for a better understanding of the horse-human relationship, riding for beginners in nature, as well as exercises for confidence in working with horses from the ground. Whatever you prefer, an experienced riding instructor will share his knowledge with you and help you advance with your passion.

What do you suggest for advanced riders?

If you are already experienced in horseback riding, we will be happy to offer you a variety of options from a lesson for advanced riders in the arena, advanced horse training and horse psychology lessons, trail rides in nature and more. We offer from 2-3 hour trail rides to several day trips. In addition, we can.

We can be reached very easily and in several ways. After all, we are only 40 km away from the capital Sofia, not far from the center of Svoge. The last 1 kilometer is a dirt road that is passable, but if desired you can go on it with a short walk. If you are without a car, you can come in 30 minutes from Sofia by train. The Polkan System was developed by our head trainer Antonia Parapanova as a method for training horses and riders. It includes a series of steps and structured techniques based on the natural psychology of the horse, body language, behavior in the herd and many other factors that determine the horse's understanding of its environment and requirements.
